Family Focus Evanston has selected Wintrust Bank – Roscoe Village Vice President and Branch Manager Brian Brown as its new President. Family Focus helps young families in need by offering customized classes, support groups and referral services so parents can have the confidence and skills to create safe, supportive home environments for children to succeed. The group specializes in services for children infant to teen, and young parents, but has additional programs that focus on: early childhood and art exposure initiatives; literacy promotion programs; fatherhood development; physical and mental health education; and teen pregnancy and violence prevention strategies.

“I am eager to start my new role as President of Family Focus,” said Brown. “I have been involved with this organization for the past two years as an auxiliary board member, and I have seen the impact that mentoring and educating can have on young families in need. I’m honored to continue to work with Family Focus.”

As a true community bank, Wintrust Bank – Roscoe Village supports employees being active in their local communities and Brown shows his dedication through his volunteer work. Brown devotes his time to Jahn Elementary School, which is near the Wintrust Bank – Roscoe Village office, helping out as a volunteer painting the first and second floor hallways of the building. He is also active with the F.A.A.M. Basketball League in Evanston, which helps local middle schoolers learn the importance of academics and sportsmanship while developing basketball skills. Brown is an Evanston native and graduated from Drake University with a Bachelor of Arts.
