CIC Theater presents Safe Bet and Special

CIC Theater presents a pair of great solo sketch comedy shows in October.

Safe Bet and Special, written and performed by Becca Taubel and Alex Trepka.

Safe Bet (Written and Performed by Alex Trepka) is more of dance than a show. Kind of like a waltz. A waltz is pretty, but you wouldn’t call it a show. Alex guides the audience on a waltz over scenes and under monologues. Throughout Safe Bet, you’ll be greeted by off-kilter characters, hear musical interludes and feel hot breath on the back of your neck in a dark room.

Special (Written and Performed by Becca Taubel)-Life is full of special moments: your first love, getting that great job, or having a baby. Becca Taubel has experienced none of those. Special is one woman’s journey to realizing that being awkward can lead to finding what really makes you happy.
