Green Shirt Studio Announces Summer Classes in Acting, Voice
Green Shirt Studio -- a school that offers classes in acting, voice and movement for adults -- announces its summer class schedule.
Green Shirt Studio -- a school located at 4407 N. Clark St. in Chicago that offers a wide variety of classes in acting, voice and movement for adults – is pleased to announce its lineup of summer class offerings.
This summer, explore a variety of approaches to acting or voice through special, one-day workshops. Or delve into one of these disciplines in a longer, eight- or ten-week class.
“We wanted to give people the opportunity to get a taste of some of the techniques we offer to see if it’s something they’d like to pursue and to get to know our instructors better,” said Andrew Gallant, co-founder of Green Shirt Studio. “We think offering these low-cost workshops are a great way for people to sample many different types of classes.”

The summer workshop schedule is as follows:
June 24: Introduction to Fitzmaurice Voicework, 7-9 p.m. $25

June 25: Season General Auditioning Tips for Actors, 7-9 p.m. $20
June 28: Meisner Acting Workshop, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. FREE
Actor Resume Bootcamp, 7-9 p.m. $20
July 1: Solo Performance Workshop, 6:30-9:30 p.m. $25
July 2: Introduction to Fitzmaurice Voicework, 7-9 p.m. $25
July 4: Meisner Acting Workshop, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. FREE
July 5: Meisner Acting Workshop, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. FREE
July 12: Introduction to the Suzuki Method for Actors, 6-9 p.m. $25
In addition, longer, multi-week classes will be offered in acting and voice. A 10-week Level 1 Meisner acting class will be offered on Wednesday evenings from 7-9:30 p.m. (starting July 8) or on Sundays from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (starting July 12).
An eight-week Linklater Voice Class will be held on Saturdays from 1-3 p.m. (starting July 11), and an eight-week Fitzmaurice Voice Class will be held on Tuesdays from 7-8:30 p.m. (starting July 28.

Green Shirt Studio is run by husband-and-wife acting teachers Andrew Gallant and Sommer Austin. They opened their first studio space in the Uptown neighborhood in September 2014.
