Giant Slip-and-Slide Comes to Montrose Beach This Month

Company to construct largest slip-and-slide in city history, for one day only.

Chicago, IL - A giant slip-and-slide will take over Chicago’s Montrose Beach on the last Saturday in July.

Slide the City, a Utah-based company that connects large slip-and-slides and brings them to various American cities, will make its Chicago debut that day, according to several media reports. Three 300-foot slides will be constructed along the Uptown beach’s Cricket Hill.

Adults who miss the slip-and-slide experience that dominated their summers in Chicago are likely to take advantage of this unique opportunity. Tickets are $30 until this weekend, $35 through July 22, $40 after that and $45 on the day of the bonanza, which is Saturday, July 30.
