• Northfield, school districts working on TIF deal; 2nd public hearing set (therecordnorthshore.org) — Northfield officials and local school districts are negotiating an agreement to lessen school funding concerns tied to a proposed tax increment financing district, including how new student costs and possible capital needs would be covered. Trustees have scheduled a second public hearing on the TIF plan for 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, at the North Shore Senior Center in Northfield after earlier notification missteps and resident concerns.
