I-88 Road Rage Shooting: Bond Set at $3 Million
Anthony Tillmon, 34, of Lansing, faces up to natural life in prison for the fatal I-88 shooting of Eduardo Munoz, police said.

OAK BROOK, IL — Bond has been set for Anthony Tillmon, 34, a tow truck driver who allegedly shot and killed a man in a road rage incident on I-88 in Oak Brook Friday. Tillmon faces a sentence of up to natural life in prison if convicted on one count of first degree murder, DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin said. He is being held on $3 million bond.
Police said the victim, Eduardo Munoz, and Tillmon, were both driving eastbound on I-88 when an alleged road rage altercation on I-88 caused them to begin yelling at each other. It is alleged that Tillmon, a tow truck driver, then pulled up alongside Munoz near the I-294 exit, pointed a handgun at him and fired before speeding off the highway.
Munoz allegedly suffered multiple gunshot wounds before pulling his semi off to the shoulder of I-88, where police found him unresponsive. He was later pronounced dead at Elmhurst Hospital.

An extensive investigation led police to Tillmon, who turned himself in to DuPage County Sheriff’s Office four days after the I-88 shooting, police said.
Berlin said of the fatal I-88 shooting, "These alleged actions put the lives of countless motorists at risk. It’s terrifying to think of how many innocent people may have been injured or killed had Mr. Munoz not been able to get his truck to the shoulder of the road after he had been shot three times. Thankfully, he was able to keep control of his vehicle and in doing so may have saved the lives of other innocent motorists."

He added, “I offer my sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Eduardo Munoz as they grieve the loss of Eduardo. I would like to thank the Illinois State Police, the U.S. Marshall’s Office, the Oak Brook Police and Fire Departments as well as Assistant State’s Attorney Jim French for their fine work on this case.”
Tillmon is scheduled to appear in court before Judge John Kinsella on May 22, 2017.
