2 Men Charged After Narcotics Bust At Dolton Home: Sheriff

Guns, cocaine, meth, ecstasy, fentanyl and more found in the March 9 narcotics investigation on Ingleside Avenue.

DOLTON, IL — Two men face multiple felony charges after Cook County Sheriff’s Police recovered cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and other drugs, as well as three guns during a search warrant in Dolton earlier this week, the Cook County Sheriff's Office said.

On March 9, Organized Crime Division Investigators executed a search warrant in the 14400 block of South Ingleside Avenue as part of a narcotics investigation. There they recovered 1350 grams of cocaine, 862, grams of methamphetamine, 84 grams of crack cocaine, 67 ecstasy pills, 10 Xanax pills, and 727 grams of cannabis. They also found three firearms, thousands in cash, drug paraphernalia, digital scales, and ammunition.

Investigators took two residents—Darius Sparks, 42, and Donzelle Zimmerman, 24—into custody. Zimmerman was charged with armed violence, aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a controlled substance, possession of ecstasy and manufacture/delivery of ecstasy. Sparks was charged with manufacture/delivery of cocaine, manufacture/delivery of fentanyl, methamphetamine manufacturing, possession of methamphetamine, manufacture/delivery of cannabis, possession of cocaine, possession of cannabis, and possession of a controlled substance.

Following their March 10 initial court hearings at the Markham Courthouse, Zimmerman was ordered to Cook County Jail custody, and Sparks was ordered released from custody, the sheriff's office said.
