The Cook County Sheriff's Office said it was called to investigate a fatal shooting at the location. Detectives learned that a man with a gun entered the bar and began shooting, according to a statement from the sheriff's office.

That man, identified by authorities and the Cook County Medical Examiner as Marquelle Rose, 29, of Chicago, was then shot by a security guard, CBS reported.

Rose was taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead at 1 a.m. Saturday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner.

A 29-year-old man and a 34-year-old man were also injured in the shooting, the sheriff's office said. Both were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 34-year-old man was later confirmed to be Robbins Mayor Darren Bryant, CBS reported. Bryant suffered a graze wound and was hospitalized for the minor injury, CBS said.

A second victim in the shooting was reportedly a DJ, ABC7 said.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the shooting is encouraged to contact Cook County Sheriff's Police Detectives at 708-865-4896.
