Boys, 12 and 17, Crash Into Each Other In Stolen Cars: Midlothian PD

MIDLOTHIAN, IL — Two suspects were arrested early Thursday after crashing into each other in cars they had just stolen in Midlothian, police said Thursday morning.
Midlothian police were called at 2 a.m. December 15, to the 14800 block of Kenton Avenue for a report of suspicious people peering into vehicles, police said. When police arrived, two suspects in separate vehicles fled, but crashed into each other shortly after, according to police. The two juveniles—12 and 17 years old, both of Chicago—fled on foot and were arrested shortly after.
Police noted the vehicles had been freshly stolen from Midlothian, and had not yet been reported.

Two other drivers in stolen vehicles fled when police arrived, but police stopped pursuit.
The two juveniles will appear at Markham Courthouse for felonies, including theft of a motor vehicle/possession of a stolen motor vehicle. Officers are also attempting to identify the subjects driving the other two stolen vehicles that fled from the scene.
