Coach Katterheinrich has coached at Bremen HS since 1978

Bremen High School honored a school legend at the last home football game of the 2015 season - Coach Larry Katterheinrich (most know him by “Coach K.”) Coach K. began his coaching career at Bremen in 1978 as the Freshmen B Team Basketball coach, later adding several other sports under his belt, including: Girls’ Basketball, Boys’ Cross Country, Girls’ Cross Country, and Girls’ Track, in which he served at head coach from 1982 until 2015. Coach K. led his teams to ten Conference Championships, two Regional Championships and produced three State qualifying runners in cross country.

Bremen High School is proud to call Coach K. one of their own. BHS Athletic Director Eric Washington said “Coach K. has been a teacher, mentor and a friend to so many people at Bremen. He’s someone who always looked out for the student athletes and always did what was best for the kids.” Bremen High School students and staff would like to congratulate Coach K. on the longevity and success of his career at BHS.
