Bremen & Tinley Park HS Students Visit Groupon

The Web Design & Animation students from Bremen and Tinley Park High Schools had the opportunity to visit the world’s fastest growing company ever, Groupon! The business students had the opportunity to meet with one of the Groupon recruiters Amy. Amy led the students through a tour and a question and answer session with several other Groupon employees. All three Groupon employees that were on the panel majored in something completely different from their current job. Tinley Park High School senior Murad Salman stated, “It was interesting. I was shocked by the number of people working at Groupon who majored in subjects like drama instead of something like marketing or business.” The panel stressed that one of the major benefits of growing with a young company is the opportunity for change and advancement. Emily Roa, sophomore at Bremen High School said, “This trip was a great experience, Groupon gave me a new perspective on what it would be like to work in an ecommerce business. Groupon seemed really cool, there were many perks to working for them.” Bremen District 228 would like to thank Groupon for allowing the students to meet with employees and to tour; this truly was a spectacular experience!
