Chicago-Area Contestants Bring Trouble to 'Bachelors in Paradise'
Take a look at how local residents have been stealing the spotlight recently on ABC's dating show franchise.

Two Bachelor in Paradise contestants from the Chicago suburbs have been stirring the pot on recent episodes of ABCβs unscripted TV series.
Bachelor of Paradise is a show that features previous contestants of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette competing for anotherβs affections on TV. Think of it as a second chance at fame and fortune true love.

Justin Reich, a personal trainer and single dad from Naperville, popped in during Mondayβs episode, causing friction between the couple everyone loves to hate, Joe Bailey and Samantha Steffen. Justin, who competed in season 11 of The Bachelorette, immediately set his sights on Samantha and asked her out, something Joe asked him expressly not to do. How much did that move upset Joe? Fellow contestant Ashley Iaconetti summed it up best:
βIf Sam accepts this date with Justin, Joe is going to go straight Kentucky crazy!β

Samantha did say yes to the date, leaving behind Joe, who kept it classy by dropping the c-word when describing her.
The showβs other Chicago connection Monday brought less drama to his appearance. Mikey Tenerelli, a personal trainer who owns a Crossfit Alpha Dog gym in Lombard, made a surprise entrance in Sundayβs show after he had been eliminated in an earlier episode. Mikey saved contestant Juelia Kinney from getting the boot by asking her out, and the two showed their date at a Guadalajara lucha libre match during Mondayβs installment.

Mikey previously participated in season 9 of The Bachelorette.
Recently, Chicago-area residents have been catching quite a bit of the spotlight when it comes to their appearances on ABCβs dating shows. Hereβs a scorecard for anyone who hasnβt been keeping up:
Nick Viall: The Chicago resident, whose website is titled βLive Loud, Love Hard,β reached for the gold ring twice on The Bachelorette but lost both times. But heβs still got a lot of love for the franchise as seen by his latest Tweet about The Bachelor picking Ben Higgins as its latest mate prospector:
So many thanks for peopleβs continued support. So excited for Ben and excited for my next adventure!! #bachelor #BachelorinParadise

Clint Arliss: The architect and Batavia native earned the title βBrokeback Bachelorβ when he talked about his bromance with fellow contestant JJ Lane.
Josh Seiter: Law school grad, model, dancer. Josh can do just about anything except say he made it to the final round of The Bachelorette. He was eliminated during season 11 but went on to spill some of the showβs behind-the-scenes secrets.
