OAK FOREST, IL — City of Oak Forest Public Works teams will cover the entire city for branch chipper service as part of storm cleanup efforts, the City announced Tuesday.

Here’s how you can help the process:
- Place branches in the parkway with cut ends pointing to the curb; please do not block sidewalks or streets.
- Branches can be no larger than 6 inches in diameter.
- Stack branches neatly in a single, combined pile.
- You can also dispose of branches with your normal refuse pickup. Homewood Disposal picks up bundled branches up to 3 1/2" in diameter, no more than four feet in length, and no heavier than 50 lbs. per bundle on your regular trash day.
- Place yard waste in brown paper yard waste bags, reasonable-sized bundles tied with twine or string, or an HDS yard waste cart. "Yard waste only" stickers are only needed when your regular 35-gallon garbage cart is used only for yard waste. Stickers are available at the Clerk's Office in City Hall.
Anyone who needs to report an issue involving a parkway tree should use the City’s online Contact Us Form (select the Public Works Department option).
