Eagle Sports Range Speaks Out On Accidental Shooting Of Child
"We have taken the necessary precautions to make sure this does not happen again," staff at the range told Oak Forest Patch.

OAK FOREST, IL — Eagle Sports Range, the Oak Forest gun range where a young boy was hit by a bullet that ricocheted after an accidental discharge on Saturday, has issued a statement about the incident. Staff at the range issued the following statement to Oak Forest Patch:
"On Saturday, it was an unfortunate accident that occurred here where a child was hit by a superficial grazing. We are very concerned for the family and wish the child a speedy recovery. We have taken the necessary precautions to make sure that this does not happen again in the future. We are deeply sorry that it happened."
The child was in the showroom at the gun range with his father when a bullet ricocheted and struck him in the abdomen, officials told NBC Chicago. The boy's injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, according to ABC Chicago.
Oak Forest police have not returned calls seeking comment.
