Heightened Police Presence After Social Media Threats To Hillcrest HS
Bremen District 228 officials and Country Club Hills police were alerted to the social media posts warning of violence at the school.
COUNTRY CLUB HILLS, IL — Classes at Hillcrest High School will be in session as usual Tuesday with heightened police presence following purported social media threats made against the school over the weekend.
The social media messages were posted early Sunday morning, and warned of violence at the school this week. Bremen District 228 officials are working closely with the Country Club Hills Police Department.
It's unclear if the posts were factual or a hoax.

"The school is aware of the circulating post on social media," said Bremen District 228 Public Relations Specialist Yasmeen Sheikah. "Administration is working directly with the police department at this time."
