Maryse Gregoire Named Allstate's Midwest Region Outstanding Employee Volunteer of the Year for 2014

Allstate employee recognized for commitment to seven local organizations

Allstate is proud to announce Maryse Gregoire of Northbrook as the Allstate Midwest Region Outstanding Employee Volunteer for 2014. Selected out of several nominations, Gregoire was chosen for her commitment to volunteerism in both local and international sectors.

In 2014, Maryse completed a total of 804 volunteer hours at a variety of different organizations and ministries which include Catholic Charismatic Renewal Center for Chicago (CCRCC), National Service Committee (NSC), Spirit of Love in St. Mary’s Church, Allstate’s 2nd Annual Non Profit Volunteer Expo and Supply and Feeding America – Chicago Food Bank. In addition to her commitment to local volunteerism, Gregoire also traveled to and volunteered for a second time in Uganda, Africa.

“The company has always opened the door for me and provided a platform and opportunities to feed and help the homeless, prepare meals at the Ronald McDonald House for families with very sick children, help cancer victims and children in Haiti,” Gregoire shared.

Each year, Allstate honors 18 employees with its Outstanding Employee Volunteer Award. The honor is open to all of Allstate’s more than 30,000 employees who truly embody the spirit of giving back to the communities in which they live and work.

“I’m very proud to see Maryse be recognized for her commitment to giving back. She embodies Allstate’s efforts to continue serving as a force for good in our communities, and I’m happy to see her so involved in the local and international sector,” said Alice Byrne, Field Senior Vice President of Allstate’s Midwest Region.

As winner of the Midwest Region award, Gregoire receives a $1,000 donation from Allstate to the local nonprofit of her choice. Gregoire is directing her award to Concerned Haitian Americans of Illinois.

An Allstate employee for 41 years, Gregoire is a Product Consultant in Allstate’s Midwest Region, serving Allstate agents and customers in Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota. Gregoire is a graduate of Centre D’Etude Secondaires in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

Allstate awarded more than 450 grants last year to nonprofit organizations where employees volunteer as a part of its Helping Hands Recognition Program. In 2014, The Allstate Foundation granted nearly $230,000 to nonprofit organizations across the country where Allstate employees delivered more than 100,000 hours of volunteer service.
