Mayor Kuspa to Recommend Larry Schoenfeld as 4th Ward Alderman

Schoenfeld would fill the seat until the next election in April 2017.

On August 25, Mayor Hank Kuspa will recommend that the City Council appoint long-time Oak Forest resident Larry Schoenfeld as 4th Ward alderman. If appointed, Schoenfeld will serve as 4th Ward alderman until the seat is up for election in April 2017.

Schoenfeld would fill the seat vacated by Chuck Toland, who resigned last month following revelations of misspending within the Oak Forest Raiders association.

“In the interview process, Larry’s passion and commitment to Oak Forest really stood out,” said Mayor Hank Kuspa. “His volunteer spirit coupled with his professional experience will be an asset to the people of the 4th Ward and Oak Forest as a whole.”
