More Winter Weather: More Than 1" Per Hour Possible Wednesday

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory, effective from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Snow is expected to develop this morning and end late this afternoon, with the potential for snowfall rates of more than 1 inch per hour possible at times, the NWS said.

“Untreated roads will become snow covered with greatly reduced visibilities in heavier snow bursts,” the weather service said, warning that travel could become difficult.

“A quick 1 to 4 inches of snow will fall with isolated higher totals possible,” the NWS said.
