Oak Forest football making some noise

OAK FOREST, IL — The Oak Forest Raiders came into Homecoming weekend with an attitude — and they made sure Oak Lawn knew it.

From the opening kickoff to the final whistle, the Raiders came ready to play, putting together a dominant sweep of the Oak Lawn Outlaws across the Homecoming slate.

The Raiders’ energy was noticeable from the start. Players flew around the field, coaches were fired up, and the Raider sideline was rocking as Oak Forest continued to show why they are one of the toughest programs around.

A SPECIAL HALFTIME TRIBUTE

While the day was filled with football, Homecoming also provided an opportunity for the Raiders family to remember someone who meant so much to the organization.

During halftime, the Raiders held a special tribute to Tony Chinino, who served as a Vice President of the Oak Forest Raiders for many years.

Tony was more than just a board member. He was a longtime part of the Raider family who dedicated countless hours to the organization and its players.

His family continues to be involved with the Raiders today, carrying on the tradition and commitment Tony helped build.

Tony is truly missed, but his impact on the Raiders remains.

Homecoming was a celebration of football, family and community — and there was no better time to honor someone who gave so much to the Raider organization.

NEXT WEEK: RAIDERS SPLIT UP

The Raiders will hit the road next weekend, with the organization splitting up between Saturday and Sunday.

After a huge Homecoming weekend, the Raiders will have to bring that same attitude on the road.
