Oak Forest Police Dole Out 105 Citations During Thanksgiving Campaign

And another one's coming, folks. Be prepared.

The results are in from the latest Click it or Ticket crackdown on seat belt violators. From November 16 through November 30, Oak Forest police officers wrote 105 seat belt citations as part of a Thanksgiving holiday campaign.

“Wearing a seat belt and ensuring that your passengers, especially children, do the same, is a necessary precaution” said Deputy Chief Dominic D’Ambrosio. “We take these campaigns very seriously. We’re out in force to reduce the deadly dangers from those who fail to buckle up—putting themselves and their families at risk.”

The recent law enforcement crackdown was funded by federal traffic safety funds through the Illinois Department of Transportation and is part of the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket campaigns.
