Oak Forest Spring Clean Up Week Starts Monday

The City of Oak Forest is holding its spring clean-up next week so you can dump unwanted items and all the branches left from the winter.

OAK FOREST, IL β€” The City of Oak Forest is holding its spring clean-up next week.

Residents of single-family homes can throw away multiple bulk items, including unwanted household items, from April 22 to April 26 by leaving the items at the curb on the regularly scheduled trash pick-up day. No hazardous materials will be accepted.

Public Works chipping crews also will be following the Homewood Disposal pickup schedule to pick up yard debris.

City officials ask that residents leave branches at the curb by 7 a.m. on pickup day. Branches must be less than four inches in diameter and four feet in length, and stacked in piles no higher than 3 feet tall. Larger branches must be cut into logs no longer than 24 inches and stacked in a separate pile at the curb. Stumps, root balls and roots must be free of attached dirt.
