Thousands of spectators shed some layers and donned their finest green duds for Oak Forest’s sixth annual Fleadh celebration Saturday, March 7.

An estimated 4,000 parade-goers—the event’s best turnout yet—took advantage of mild temperatures and flocked to Cicero Avenue to watch as 65 civic groups, clubs, and businesses marched in celebration of the city’s own Irish festival. The day included appearances by characters from “Frozen,” as well as the sounds of the Chicago Stock Yard Kitty Band and the Pipes and Drums of the Chicago Police Department.

Eleven local pubs and restaurants welcomed patrons for food and drink specials throughout the day.
