Services Set For Mother Of Four, Victim Of Oak Forest Shooting
Funeral arrangements have been made for Lupe Gomez, 43, who was killed by her husband last week outside their Oak Forest home.
OAK FOREST, IL β Services have been set for an Oak Forest woman and mother of four who was killed by her husband in a murder-suicide last week.
Lupe Gomez, 43, along with her children Briana Rodriguez, 22, and Emilio Rodriguez, 20, were fatally shot at their home on Ann Marie Lane Friday.
Visitation for Lupe Gomez will be held Friday, Sept. 30, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave., in Summit. A Mass will be held Saturday, Oct. 1 at 9 a.m., at St. Nicholas of Tolentine, 6200 S. Lawndale Ave., in Chicago.

Services have also been set for Emilio and Briana Rodriguez.
The Oak Forest community on Monday evening turned out in full strength to support the families of the victims, and remember their beloved community members. Family members spoke of a tumultuous relationship between the spouses, one that police said had involved frequent calls for domestic issues. Lupe had been preparing to divorce Carlos, family said, nearing a new chapter for her and her children.

Gomez has two daughters left behind after the shooting, and a GoFundMe has been started to help support them. They are in the care of their uncle.
