Services Set for Oak Forest Native Killed in Rollerskating Accident
Visitation for Sarah Stanislawski will be held Friday, Jan. 23, with funeral service to follow Saturday, Jan. 24.

Funeral services have been set for anwoman killed in a rollerskating accident in Hawaii.
Visitation for Sarah Stanislawski will be held Friday, Jan. 23, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Lawn Funeral Home. Stanislawski, 27, died January 6 when she collided with a car while rollerblading in the hills of Makakilo on the island of Oʻahu. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 24 at 11 a.m. at St. Damian Church, 5520 W. 155th St. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre, 6001 W. 111th St.
Stanislawski was the daughter of Mary (nee Dea) and Stephen Stanislawski; dearest sister of Kaitlin and Tony Stanislawski; cherished aunt of Madison Stanislawski; dear granddaughter of Linda and the late Antoni Stanislawski, the late Barbara and the late Thomas E. Dea; fond niece and cousin to many.

Back home in Oak Forest, many were stunned by the sudden loss of a woman who was a friend to so many.
“She was beautiful. Loved her friends,” said Chris Medina, who came to know Stanislawski through his former fiancée Juliana Ramos, and other friends. ”She was not easily embarrassed. A fighter. She was funny.”

The 2005 graduate of Oak Forest High School is recalled as a young woman who would ”talk to and hang out with anyone.”
