29 OLCHS Students Recognized By National College Board Programs
The college board awards academic honors to high-performing, underrepresented students.

OAK LAWN, IL — Twenty-nine students from Oak Lawn Community High School were recognized by the College Board National Recognition Programs. The college board awards academic honors to high-performing, underrepresented students.
The five national recognition programs include the National African American Recognition Program, National First-Generation Recognition Program (beginning in 2024), National Hispanic Recognition Program, National Indigenous Recognition Program, and National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program. The academic honors reflect the achievement of both the individual and the school, providing recipients with a downloadable certificate on BigFuture.
In the past, school communities have garnered media coverage, attention from colleges that want to recruit their students, and recognition from the state and district. As importantly, colleges and universities use these honors to identify and recruit high-achieving awardees who participate in Student Search Service.
