3 OLCHS Students Headed To Peoria For All-State Choir
Oak Lawn Community High School students Orlando Ramirez, Collin Kalousek, and Billy McNichols were selected for the All-State Choir.

OAK LAWN, IL — Oak Lawn Community High School students Orlando Ramirez, Collin Kalousek, and Billy McNichols were selected for the All-State Choir. The three students will head to Peoria this week with their choir director Samantha Elliott for the annual Illinois Music Educator Conference.
The students auditioned in October and participated in the district ensemble at Elmhurst University in November, where they were reevaluated and chosen for the All-State Ensemble. The students will participate in rehearsals for two days and perform on Saturday, Jan. 28, in the afternoon. This ensemble is made up of approximately 200 students from the state of Illinois.
“I am incredibly proud of the hard work that these students have put into this
Experience,” Elliot said. “They have proved their dedication to our music program and will be a positive representation of what we do and what we are capable of at OLCHS. I am so excited for the students to have this experience, and I really hope they will value the time they get to spend rehearsing and performing next weekend.”
