Oak Lawn Resident Wins U.S. Cellular's Chicago White Sox Opening Day Sweepstakes

As the White Sox get ready for the first home game of the 2011 season, U.S. Cellular, the official wireless sponsor of the Chicago White Sox, today announced the lucky fan that will be joining the sold-out crowd for Opening Day. Victoria Sircher, an Oak Lawn resident, was randomly chosen as the winner of U.S. Cellular’s White Sox Opening Day Sweepstakes. She received four prime-seat tickets to the game, $200 in Comiskey cash and a coveted parking pass near the stadium.

“I never expected to actually win these tickets when I entered at the U.S. Cellular store in Crestwood,” said Victoria.  “My family and I are huge White Sox fans and I haven’t been to a game since I was young with my mother.  I am thrilled that U.S. Cellular has given me the opportunity to take my daughter to our first White Sox game in the new stadium on opening day.”

Chris Rathsack, director of sales for Chicago, added, “Opening Day in Chicago is a magical time of year that brings fans together and we’re delighted to give this memorable opportunity to Victoria Sircher to share with her family.”

With the partnership of the team and U.S. Cellular, the White Sox Opening Day Sweepstakes ran from Feb. 13 through March 20, during which time area residents could stop by any of the 68 U.S. Cellular stores in Chicagoland to enter their name for a chance to win.

In addition to watching the White Sox in action, U.S. Cellular also provides fans a place where they can enhance their U.S. Cellular Field visit for no additional cost.  At the stadium, fans can stop by the U.S. Cellular Experience, on the main concourse, near Section 154, to take a swing at the Home Run Derby Station, or have their photo taken for FREE with a life-size cut-out of a White Sox player.
