ATP at St. John Fisher winter market

D218 to host 'Deck the Halls' sale on Friday, Dec. 10, 10 to 12

The District 218 Adult Transition Program enjoyed another successful sales even at the St. John Fisher craft fair on Friday night. Students and staff from ATP create apparel, home decor, greeting cards, and so much more through their small business High 5.

"Another successful night of High 5 sales! The SJF Women’s Club put together an amazing night of shopping and support! The High 5 register did not stop ringing all night," said ATP vocational coordinator Kerry McNicholas.

ATP will host its final holiday sales event -- Deck The Halls -- this Friday, December 10 from 10 am to noon at the CHSD 218 Administrative Center at 10701 S. Kilpatrick Avenue in Oak Lawn.

ATP students Liam Law and Trevor Thompson showcased amazing customer service at the SJF event. Liam answered numerous questions about his customized laser and 3D products. Trevor happily welcomed each customer to the table with a warm smile and Happy Holiday message.

Special thanks to ATP job coach Don Christie for hauling all of the merchandise in his truck.

"The ATP elves worked tirelessly behind the scenes these past few weeks to create new products- especially the adorable Holiday apparel line," she added.

ATP serves graduates of Eisenhower, Richards and Shepard between the ages of 18 and 22 with special needs. They create the merchandise and provide customer service at events like the craft fair.
