Babies 'Bear Down' With Patrick Scales And Staley At Advocate Christ
Bears long snapper Patrick Scales and Staley Da Bear surprised new parents and their babies at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
OAK LAWN, IL — The Chicago Bears want to start new fans off young with the launch of “Chicago Bears Baby Bears.” Bears long snapper Patrick Scales and Staley Da Bear surprised new parents and their babies Tuesday at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. This is the first time Advocate Health Care hosted a Chicago Bears player visit since the pandemic.
Scales delivered swag to parents and babies. Parents also had the chance to sign their newborns up for the free Baby Bears program. Parents holding their newborn bundles laughed with Staley and congratulated Scales on the Bears’ first win.
Families visited included those with babies born Monday, but also patients in Advocate Christ’s antepartum unit, including Kryssa Artieda-Suobiron. Artieda-Suobiron is 32 weeks pregnant with identical twin boys and also has two young children at home. Diagnosed with a high-risk condition a few weeks ago, Artieda-Suobiron was admitted to Christ and will stay until she has her babies so doctors can closely monitor them.
