Bear Down At Park Lawn's Annual Chicago Bears Bash
Annual bash features open bar, food and raffles at Cheers on Sept. 30. Proceeds support persons with intellectual disabilities.

OAK LAWN, IL -- Bear down with the Chicago Bears and support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities at Park Lawn’s annual Bears Bash. The event is hosted by the family of Donean Masokas, a long-time Park Lawn client. The Bear Bash fundraiser happens on Sunday, Sept. 30, at Cheers, 4660 W. 147th St., Midlothian. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., game starts at noon.
Cheer on the Bears as they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tickets are $37 and includes a 4-hour open bar and food at half time. The bash also features raffles, with over 40 raffle baskets and an amazing split-the-pot raffle. This event has raised over $90,000 since its inception to support services that promote independence, dignity and access to community living for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
"Park Lawn's specialty is to assist people in our care to reach their maximum potential and achieve their highest degree of independence," spokesman Mark Dynia said in an email. "We are an anchor for the families of our 450 clients and for the communities surrounding the metropolitan Chicago area. We maintain a multi-program operation at 11 separate sites."

Tickets for the Bears Bash and split-the-pot raffle can be purchased online. Split-the-pot raffle tickets are $10 or three for $25. Tickets are also available at the door. All proceeds benefit Donean and her friends at Park Lawn. For more information, call 708-425-6867.
