Black Lives Matter March Planned For Friday In Oak Lawn

OAK LAWN, IL — A Black Lives Matter march will take place in Oak Lawn at 3 p.m. Friday (June 5). Protesters will gather at 95th Street and Southwest Highway. All are welcome.
The march will proceed eastbound down 95th Street to Oak Lawn Village Hall at 9446 S. Raymond Ave. (Raymond and 95th Street). Protesters will remain on the sidewalk and Oak Lawn police will be escorting the marchers to ensure the safety of businesses, residents and the protesters, as well as provide traffic control.
This is fully intended to be a PEACEFUL demonstration. Social distancing will be practiced and all who plan to attend must wear facial coverings.
