Bridgeview Child Abducted by Mom: Cops

Mother was supposed to return child to father, who has custody, cops say. Nationwide warrant issued for mother's arrest.

A Cook County judge issued a nationwide arrest warrant for a woman accused of abducting her own child.

Bridgeview police said that Dionna Buchanan was supposed to drop the child off with the father on Sept. 6.

Police told the judge that the father won custody of the child last month. Buchanan was ordered by police on Sept. 8 to return the child immediately.

The mother’s last known address is in Bardolph, IL, located in McDonough County.

The detective said that ATT locator on the Buchanan’s phone indicated she was in Ocean Springs, MS.

Cook County Judge John Gallagher issued a nationwide arrest warrant with a $100,000 bond.
