Brother Rice Entrance Exam: Saturday, January 14th

There has never been a better time to be a Crusader!

Brother Rice will host its 8th grade entrance exam on Saturday, January 14th at 8:00 A.M.

Test-takers should bring their $25.00 test fee and two #2 pencils with them the morning of the test (checks made payable to Brother Rice High School). Calculators are not allowed for the entrance exam.

Brother Rice has made the decision to modernize our curriculum to give our students the absolute best foundation as they prepare for college. This fall we have introduced First StartUP, an entrepreneurial class with the University of Chicago, as well as a three year engineering class through Project Lead the Way. We have hired an instructor for Information Technologies Essentials and will introduce programming to our curriculum beginning in the fall of 2017. The students at Brother Rice are as prepared for college and lifelong learning as any student in the country.

Additionally, Brother Rice President Dr. Kevin Burns and Principal James Antos are pleased to announce that 28 Brother Rice students from the graduating class of 2017 have been recognized as Illinois State Scholars. Brother Rice has the most male scholars of any area high school for 6 straight years.

The academic success is only part of the foundation the students receive at Brother Rice. We are very proud of the character our students display daily by living out our school motto ‘Act Manfully in Christ Jesus’. Our young men are pursuing excellence not only in the classroom, but also on the field, courts, clubs and other areas. With over 40 different clubs and 18 sports flourishing, our young men love being part of the Crusader family!
