Children's Cough Medicine Recalled Due to Potential Overdose
Company says incorrectly marked dosing cups from its supplier could cause potential overdose in children.

A company that sells over-the-counter children’s cough medicine is voluntarily recalling two batches of its product due to a problem with mismarked dosing cups.
Perrigo Company announced that following the recent recall of certain dosing cups by its supplier, it has initiated a voluntary product recall for two batches of children’s guaifenesin grape liquid (100mg/5 mL) children’s guaifenesin DM cherry liquid (100mg guaifenesin and 5mg dextromethorphan HBr/ 5 ml).
Both are sold in 4 oz. bottles and include a dosage cup in a box. The company is implementing the recall because some packages contain an oral dosing cup with incorrect dosage markings.
