Comcast Reports Widespread Outage Across South Suburbs
Comcast reports widespread outage Tuesday across south suburbs affecting TV, internet and phone service. It may take awhile.
In case you tried to watch TV or use the Internet Tuesday, Comcast/Xfinity is reporting a widespread outage in the south suburbs. The outage spans from Harvey to Summit, possibly as far north as Oak Park. Comcast phone service is affected as well.
An aerial pole in Harvey was reportedly struck, damaging 288 cables, according to Comcast officials. The outage is expected to last until approximately 3:30 p.m.
