Cops Say Sex Predator Failed to Report Change in Employment
Convicted sex offenders have three days to report a change of employment in accordance with the Illinois Sex Offender Act, prosecutors said.

A convicted sex predator is being held on $10,000 bail on charges that he failed to report a change in employment as required by the Illinois Sex Offender Act.
Matthew Kelly, 31, appeared in court last week after he was located by Bridgeview police at his residence, prosecutors said.

According to the charges, police went to Kelly’s address at the Bridgeview Inn, 10030 S. Harlem Ave. on several occasions to review the rules for Halloween that prohibits registered sex offenders from participating in holidays geared toward children.
Kelly was working at his new job as a dishwasher at a local restaurant, which he did not report on his sex offender registration, prosecutors said.

The sex offender registry rules require offenders to report changes in employment within three days.
Police said they also found an unlabeled prescription bottle of hydrocodone in his room.
Kelly was convicted of aggravated criminal sexual abuse in 2006. He was 24 years old and his victim was 14 at the time of offense, according to the state.
He is listed as a “sexual predator” on the state’s sex offender registry.
Kelly’s next court date is November 17 in Bridgeview.
