Covington Students are "Driving" again!

During the month of April, Covington Elementary "Pawsitive Leaders" organized a book drive. Covington Elementary School has had some very successful book drives in years past and they thought they could do it again…and they were not wrong!

Students easily collected over 500 books! A few of the books remained at Covington with Ms. Reily for the school library. Others were saved for the BINGO for BOOKS event held every fall. The remainder of the books were split between Covington’s new outdoor Little Lending Library and local schools, organizations and families in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.

Covington’s student body worked closely with Illinois State Representative, Kelly Burke, to help facilitate the distribution.

Covington’s Little Lending Library will be placed outside starting this fall.
