Creep Asks Girls If He Can 'Talk to Them,' Police Are Investigating
Oak Lawn police are investigating an incident of a suspicious man who was bothering children on Dec. 11.
Oak Lawn police are investigating a suspicious incident where a white male in his twenties approached two young girls and asked if he could “talk to them.”
The incident happened around 5:10 p.m. Dec. 11. According to a community alert, the man approached the girls -- both juveniles -- in the 8900 block of South 52nd Avenue.
The girls told police the man asked if he could talk to them. Police said the girls were able to get away by going inside a home.

A short time later, while walking home, one of the girls observed the man again, and became fearful that he was following them, police said.
The girls were able to work with police in developing a composite sketch of the man.
