Dist. 123 PTA Plans School Board Candidates' Forum

OAK LAWN, IL -- Voters will have a chance to learn more about the six candidates running for the Oak Lawn-Hometown Dist. 123 school board at a candidates forum hosted by the D123 PTA Council on March 19. The forum starts at 7 p.m. at Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School, 5345 99th St., Oak Lawn.

Six candidates are vying for three open seats on the D123 school board in the upcoming consolidated election on April 2. Three incumbents, Theresa Roche, Jennifer Fortier and Julie Misner, are vying for reelection. Newcomers John Byrne, Robert Charles Crosby II and Beverly “Becky” L. The League of Women Voters will facilitate the forum, which includes opening and closing statements by each candidate, and questions submitted by the audience. After the forum, there will be an informal meet and greet with the candidates.
