District 123 Helen Whalen Scholarship Applications Due By Feb 28

Applications for the 2025 Helen Whalen Scholarship, presented by the Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123 PTA Council, are now being accepted.

The Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123 PTA Council will award three $1,000 scholarships in honor of Helen Whalen, a dedicated volunteer in District 123 schools and the PTA many years ago. Students who meet the following criteria may apply:

• Graduating high school senior
• Ranks in the upper 50% of their graduating class at the end of the first semester of senior year
• Plans to attend a community college, university or trade school
• Has attended at least four school years in the District 123 school system.

All components of the scholarship application should be emailed together, including transcripts, and received no later than Friday, February 28, 2025

Winners will be notified by April 14th. All applicants will be notified after the winners have been selected. Winners will be invited with their families to an awards dinner on May 5th, 2025 at Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School (OLHMS).
