Dr. Bagdasarian Steps Into New Role As Dist. 229 Superintendent
New Dist. 229 superintendent looks forward to serving Oak Lawn Community High School students with "dedication and passion."

OAK LAWN, IL — Dr. Shahe Bagdasarian is raring to go in his new role as superintendent of Oak Lawn Community High School Dist. 229. The new superintendent stepped into the role July 1, with a letter and video to families, students and community members, stating he’s looking forward to serving the OLCHS community “with dedication and passion.”
Bagdasarian was appointed by the Dist. 229 school board last December. He replaces the retiring Dr. Mike Riordan, who rose through the ranks from teacher to district superintendent during his three decades with OLCHS. Bagdasarian credited Riordan for laying a “solid foundation for us to build upon, and I am committed to continuing his legacy of excellence.”
