Driver Accused of Not Using Required Breath Alcohol Ignition Lock Device in Car
Hickory Hills police said 61-year-old driver was involved in two-car crash.

HICKORY HILS, IL -- A 61-year-old man was charged with driving on a suspended license and for not have a BAIID device in his care after he crashed into another car in Hickory Hills, prosecutors said.
Hickory Hills police responded to a two-car accident in the 9100 block of West 95th Street on Dec. 16. Police said that a driver, later identified as Joseph Davis, was treated for a head wound at the scene.
The prosecutor said officers discovered that Davis was driving on a suspended license and was sentenced in May to supervision for a DUI. Davis was also allegedly required to have a breath alcohol interlock ignition device on his car, but police could not find one inside his vehicle.

The assistant public defender told the judge that Davis was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps.
Bail was set at $50,000. Davis’s next court date is set for Jan. 12 in Bridgeivew.
