Underclothed Baby, Unwanted Advice and a 'Dust Up in Aisle 3'
An angry mom shoved a woman at Jewel after she tells the mom her baby wasn't dressed properly for the weather, cops say.

A mother who didn’t like being told her infant wasn’t dressed properly for the weather shoved the advice giver to the floor at an Oak Lawn supermarket, according to police.
A 53-year-old woman told police she was shopping in aisle 3 around 9:13 a.m. Nov. 4, at the Jewel-Osco store, 8801 S. Ridgeland Ave., when she noticed a heavyset woman with long brown hair pushing a shopping cart with an infant in the front carrier.
When the woman observed the baby seemed underdressed for the weather, she told the mom it was cold and the infant should be wearing more clothing.

Police said the mother became visibly upset and said, “Did I ask for your advice?” The woman said she became concerned due to the mom’s reaction, and took a picture of the mother with her cell phone.
The mom pushed the woman in the chest with both hands. The woman took several steps backwards and lost her balance, falling and hitting her head on the floor, reports said.

Police said the mom was last seen fleeing the store parking lot heading eastbound on 87th Street.
The woman refused medical condition but complained of a headache, reports said. Officers assisted the woman in forwarding the cell phone photo of the mom to police. At that point, the woman said she had to leave, but would press charges against the mom if she is found.
Police checked the area but did not find the mom. The van was not at the registered address, reports said.
The store manager told police there was no video recording of the incident.
