Eisenhower seniors named NSDA Academic All-Americans
First Cardinals ever to win this prestigious honor!

The National Speech and Debate Association this week announced that Eisenhower High School seniors Yessica Calderon and Christopher Reyes have qualified as Academic All-Americans.
They’re the first two students in Eisenhower history to earn this prestigious honor.
Of the 141,000 students who belong to NSDA less than one percent meet the qualifications to earn Academic All-American.

“This distinguished award recognizes students who have completed at least five semesters of high school; earned the degree of Superior Distinction in our Honor Society (a total of 750 or more merit points in competition); achieved rigorous criteria for GPA and/or test score requirements; and demonstrated outstanding character and leadership,” wrote NSDA Executive Director L. Scott Wunn in a letter to Eisenhower Principal Dr. Erik Briseno informing him of the
awards.
