Eisenhower students write letters of thanks to veterans

Cards also raise money for Thanks A Million

So many Eisenhower High School students stayed late on Veterans Day to write letters to those who serve their nation. Many thanks to Student Council faculty sponsors Denise Dahlin and Linda Gruchot for all their hard work organizing this effort.

They also sold mini-Bundt cakes, with all proceeds donated to the veterans support organization “Thanks a Million.”

The event comprise part of the Kindness Campaign coordinated with Operation Snowball. The campaign rewarded those ‘caught’ performing a selfless act (staff could nominate students, who then became eligible to win prizes.)
