Saint Xavier University will host distinguished author and lawyer Laura Caldwell at a book-signing. The event is free and open to the public.
Caldwell will discuss how her career as a lawyer turned author turned humanitarian unfolded. She’ll also entertain questions and read excerpts from her new novel Claim of Innocence, a mystery continuing the adventures of attorney Izzy McNeil.
Caldwell is a former civil trial attorney and a Distinguished Scholar in Residence at the Loyola University Chicago School of Law. She is a published author of several women's lit and mystery/thriller novels, as well as a nonfiction book titled Long Way Home: A Young Man Lost in the System and the Two Women Who Found Him.
