CHILDREN’S MUSEUM 5K RUN – REGISTRATION IS OPEN!!!
The Children’s Museum in Oak Lawn will be hosting its 3rd Annual “Birthday Dash” 5K Run and Kids Dash on Saturday, July 30th, 2011. The event is being held in conjunction with a week-long Anniversary celebration.
The 5K will begin with registration at 7:00 AM and the 5K will start promptly at 8:00 AM from the museum located at 5100 Museum Drive in Oak Lawn. Our route is a certified USA Track & Field Race, and is also CARA certified. Prizes and medals will be given to the top performers in each category.

The route of the 5K is as follows: Museum Drive to Tulley, south to 96th Street, east to 49th Ave., south to Elm Circle Drive, west on Oak Center Drive to Minnick, then north on 54th Ave. to 98th Street, east to 49th Ave, north to 96th Street, west to Tulley, north to Museum drive which will be the finish line for the race.
The Kids’ Dash starts at 9:00 AM and will be held on 51st Ave. where the children will run from the cul-de-sac by the museum to 96th Street, turn around, and then run back.
