The Oak Lawn Public Library will host a free movie screening of “Conviction” on Monday, May 23, at both 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
In this inspiring 2010 drama, Hilary Swank portrays the true story of Betty Anne Waters, a high school dropout who spends nearly two decades working as a single mother, while putting herself through law school, in order to try to overturn her brother’s unjust murder conviction. Also starring Sam Rockwell and Minnie Driver. Rated: R for language. Running time: 107 minutes.
