Free Movie: "The Greatest Game Ever Played"

The Oak Lawn Public Library, 5300 W. 95th St., will host a free movie screening of The Greatest Game Ever Played on Tuesday, July 12 at 10 a.m. 

This 2005 Disney family film is a coming-of-age, golf drama based on the true story of the 1913 U.S. Open, where 20-year-old Francis Ouimet defeated his idol, 1900 U.S. Open champion, Harry Vardon.  Starring Shia LaBeouf. Rated: PG.  Running time: 120 minutes.  Based on a biography by Mark Frost.

This movie is one of 13 titles featured in the library’s weekly “Reel Books” series of films that are based on a book.
