Fall Craft Show And Business Showcase Moves Outdoors At OLCHS

OAK LAWN, IL – The Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce will be presenting its 20th annual Business Showcase and Health Fair in conjunction with Oak Lawn Community High School’s fall Craft Fair. All festivities will take place outside from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in OLCHS student parking lot at 95th Street and Austin Avenue. Parking and admission are FREE.

Social distancing guidelines will be followed and face masks are required. Exhibitor tables will be separated by a parking space. The showcase and craft fair will be held — rain or shine.

Local businesses will showcasing their products and services. Flu shots will be available from Walgreens Pharmacy from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring an insurance card or a copy for bill purposes. If you don’t have insurance, Walgreen’s will offer a special discount. The chamber also offers a full spectrum of healthcare providers and more.

“The chamber encourages area residents to ‘Shop Oak Lawn First’’ and the business showcase presents an ideal opportunity to meet with local business owners and learn more about their businesses and what they have to offer,” George Cachares said, a chamber board member.

More than 30 vendors and crafters have signed on for OLCHS’s craft fair, hosted by the Parent Teacher Student Organization. Featured vendors include Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, Paparazzi Jewelry, LuLa Rue, Scentsy and Norwex. Crafters will offer a variety of homemade crafts.

Stop by Chuck’s Southern Comfort Cafe food truck and pick up some delicious barbecue to go. (Due to COVID-19 restrictions, patrons are asked not to eat food on campus.)

Booth spaces are still available exhibitors, $50 for chamber members and $100 for non-members. The chamber will use proceeds from the showcase to provide scholarships to eligible OLCHS seniors.
